There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding cryptocurrency and its security. Big names such as SafeMoon and Samoyedcoin have experienced doubt regarding security and whether or not they were legit. HUH Token, a new cryptocurrency launching on the 6th of December, has taken note of the skepticism and suspicion surrounding the cryptocurrency world. As a result, the crypto has taken matters into its own hands and has launched a bug bounty program.
What Is A Bug Bounty?
Suppose you are unsure of what a bug bounty is, it is essentially a program that websites, cryptocurrencies, software developers, and organizations use to see if people can hack or report bugs and vulnerabilities. In cryptocurrency specifically, hackers are invited to see if they can break the code in their smart contracts. The bigger the bug, the bigger the reward.
HUH Token is launching a bounty to encourage others to join them on their crypto-world adventure by continuing to develop a harmonious ecosystem. The scope of HUH Token’s bug bounty is as follows:
- You can freely explore different attack vectors as long as there are no major drawbacks for the HUH ecosystem.
- HUH websites or infrastructure, in general, are not part of the bounty program.
The creators of HUH Token hope to gradually involve the HUH Nation community to become more engaged with HUH’s governance. Pull requests to the bug bounty campaign documents at the development branch are welcome here: bounty@HUH.social

- High: up to 3,000 points
- Medium: up to 2,000 points
- Low: up to 400 points
- Note: up to 100 points
● 1 point currently corresponds to 1 USD (payable in crypto), something which may change with 3 months prior notice.
The Legal Stuff
The legal stuff is hardly the most exciting aspect of a bug bounty. However, it is essential to know exactly what to expect should you wish to participate in the bounty. So, at this point, it is worth stating that the bug bounty program is a rewards program for the HUH community to encourage and reward those who are helping to improve the ecosystem in any possible way. The awards are at the sole discretion of the HUH bug bounty panel. HUH cannot issue awards to individuals who are on or are in countries on the UK sanctions lists. All awards are subject to applicable law.
Why Are Bug Bounties Important?
It is hard to overstate the importance of a bug bounty. Developers use it as a tool to enhance their security and also to show just how strong their contracts and software are. If a cryptocurrency launches a bug bounty and receives little feedback, then this is a hugely impressive feat.
